On October 12, the Land Trust hosted our Gaviota Getaway – Plein Air event at the incredible Arroyo Hondo Preserve. We had 20 of Santa Barbara’s best-loved artists painting live in the Hollister Meadow and displaying their work for sale. The artists generously donated 50% of their sales to the continued preservation, restoration and education programs at the Arroyo Hondo Preserve. Live music from the Honeysuckle Possums accompanied attendees as they strolled through the meadow admiring art and enjoying wine from our sponsors and gourmet picnic baskets.
Check out our gallery of images from the event on Facebook.
The artists were: Whitney Abbott, Jamee Aubrey, Susan Belloni, Kit Boise-Cossart, Chris Chapman, Camille Dellar, Jeremy Harper, Kerri Hedden, Erika Hill, Ray Hunter, Larry Iwerks, John Iwerks, Manny Lopez, Rob Robinson, John Rowbottam, Ann Sanders, Leigh Sparks, BJ Stapen & Gerry Winant
Sponsors for the event were: Montecito Bank & Trust, Alma Rosa Winery & Vineyards, Beckmen Vineyards, Gainey Vineyard, Cimarone & 3CV Wines, Lincourt Vineyards, Lucas & Lewellen Vineyards and El Capitan Canyon Resort
And we could not have had such success without the incredible support of our many volunteers: Andrea Adams-Moren, Brian Bur, Roswitha Carabella, Curt Clyne, Ginger Dunn, Ned Emerson, Don Gillies, Pam Henson, Linda Hill, Sally Isaacson, Ken & Susan Jorgensen, Yolanda van Wingerden, David & Julie Wexler and Joanie & Gery Zacher
