Celebrate COASTWEEKS: Volunteer Day at the Arroyo Hondo Preserve

October 7, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

COASTWEEKS is an annual celebration of our coastal and water resources, kicked off by California Coastal Cleanup Day on September 16th. Last year, hundreds of events taking place in 55 California counties were included in the COASTWEEKS calendar. For more information, visit their site.

Bring family and friends and help maintain and restore the beauty of Arroyo Hondo Preserve!

We rely on the generous dedication of our Arroyo Hondo Preserve Volunteers to help keep our preserves open to the public and the ecosystems healthy. Volunteers help with habitat restoration and basic trail maintenance.

Today we will be clearing a new restoration site along the west fence of the lower west meadow which is a one minute walk from our barn up the gravel road.

To sign up or for more info, contact Sally Isaacson, Education Coordinator: [email protected]

Wear appropriate work clothes and bring sunscreen and a refillable water bottle. We will provide gloves, water and snacks.
