Family Farms for Future Generations, Santa Maria

Pack your lunch and learn about how the Land Trust works with local families to conserve farms and ranches and sustain vibrant communities throughout Santa Barbara County. Agricultural lands provide food for our community, employ more than 25,000 local workers, and the habitat and scenic views these lands provide enhance our entire county.

Join Land Trust Executive Director, Chet Work, to learn the ins-and-outs of agricultural conservation easements. Conservation easements have been a successful tool for thousands of landowners across the country since the 1970s; in Santa Barbara County, the Land Trust has conserved more than 10,000 acres of family farm and ranch lands.

This event is free and open to everyone—pack your lunch and learn more about your local land trust.
