This tour of Italy is set in two worlds: one of the Architect / Artist; the other of a guide opening eyes to the history, beauty and personality of Italy. The Architect and Artist’s world is seen through sketches capturing essential elements of special places. These sketches span three decades of work, in many instances you will see unseen views of familiar locations. I have returned to each and photographed the location of my sketches, showing the same perspectives decades after the original sketches were drawn. The sketches are meant to provoke the reader to see and experience these special places.
