Santa Ynez Valley is exquisite in the springtime, and the Sedgwick Reserve is a wonderful place to observe the season's wildflowers. Join us for a docent-led hike and if you like, pack a picnic to enjoy after the hike ends at noon. No fee, but reservations are required and space is limited.

Coronado Butterfly Preserve

description:  


Celebrate 10 years of beautiful open space at an informal potluck picnic with live music provided by Glendessary Jam. Relax on the grass or explore the native plant projects and other enhancements provided by volunteer efforts over the years. Bring an appetizer, main dish, side dish, or dessert, along with drinks. Midland School sits on a magnificent 2,860 acre property and it’s the site of one our current conservation projects.  Join us for a unique opportunity to see the campus, its farming and ranching operations and surrounding lands on tours led by students and faculty.  Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a gourmet picnic with magnificent views of the San Rafael Mountains.
Members $30, Nonmembers $40

 



  
     Arroyo Hondo Family Campout

The Arroyo Hondo campout is an eagerly anticipated annual event for the whole family and it’s the only time you can wake up and smell the coffee in Arroyo Hondo’s pristine canyon.  Pitch your tent in the Hollister Family Meadow, hike and work up an appetite for a hearty BBQ, then gather around the campfire for star gazing, songs and s’mores.  Dinner, breakfast and snacks included.
Adult members $60, Nonmembers $85, All children $15
